c. International Driving Permit (IDP)

This requirement applies to countries outside the EU/EEA and outside bilateral agreements recognizing foreign licenses. The valid national license must always be presented together with the IDP.
- Countries not listed among those whose licenses are accepted without an IDP: the national license alone is not sufficient to rent a vehicle in Greece. In such cases, the presentation of an International Driving Permit (IDP) is mandatory and must be accompanied by the valid national license in order to be accepted by the rental agency and recognized by Greek authorities.
- License issued in a non-Latin alphabet: even if the country appears on the list of accepted licenses, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required to ensure the license is readable by the rental agency and Greek authorities in case of inspection.
3. Reservation and Availability
A vehicle reservation does not automatically guarantee vehicle availability.
In case of exceptional unavailability (breakdown, accident, extension, force majeure), the rental company may:
- Provide an equivalent vehicle,
- Modify the reservation,
- Cancel the reservation.
No compensation may be claimed from the rental company in such cases.
4. Payment
Payment for the rental is made at the agency upon vehicle pickup.
The rental company may require:
- Full payment of the rental,
- A security deposit,
before handing over the keys.
5. Security Deposit
A security deposit will be required at the time of vehicle pickup.
The deposit is used to cover:
- Damage to the vehicle,
- Insurance excess,
- Missing fuel,
- Late return fees,
- Fines,
- Cleaning fees,
- Any unpaid damage or charges.
The rental company reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit if necessary.
6. Insurance and Excess
The vehicle is insured in accordance with applicable regulations.
The insurance generally includes:
- Third-party liability,
- Vehicle damage with excess.
The excess corresponds to the maximum amount payable by the renter in case of damage or a fault accident.
The renter remains fully liable in case of:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
- Unauthorized driver,
- Breach of contract,
- Loss of keys,
- Incorrect fuel usage,

7. Fuel
The vehicle is provided with a fuel level indicated in the contract.
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level.
Otherwise, the missing fuel will be charged.
Any incorrect fuel usage will be entirely at the renter’s expense.
8. Mileage
The contract provides for unlimited mileage.
9. Late Return and Extension
The renter must return the vehicle at the agreed date and time.
In case of delay:
- Late fees may be charged,
- An additional rental day may be charged.
Any extension must be approved by the rental company before the end of the contract.
10. Fines and Violations
The renter is responsible for all violations committed during the rental period:
- Fines,
- Parking violations,
- Speeding,
- Tolls,
- Traffic offences.
The renter must pay all fines and administrative fees.
11. Vehicle Condition
A vehicle inspection is carried out at pickup and return.
The renter acknowledges receiving the vehicle in good condition and agrees to return it in the same condition.
Any damage will be charged to the renter.

The renter agrees to:
